Rev. Andrew C. L. Archer

Rev. Archer is a native of Nassau, Bahamas, and his parents are Anthony R. A. Archer and Jacquline J. Burrows. He has been married to his life-giving wife, Rev. Rose E. Archer, Mdiv. for 5 years and they have two children, Anyah Jemise and Judah Anthony.

He answered the call to a life in ministry in 2014 in the 5th Episcopal District while a member of West Princeton CME Church, Birmingham, AL under the leadership of Rev. Stephen Hoyt, then continued on to transfer to the 7th Episcopal District to serve as a Local Preacher at Russell Memorial CME Church, Durham, NC under the leadership of Rev. Wayne Williams.

In 2016 Rev. Archer transferred to the 6th Episcopal District to attend Phillips School of Theology at The Interdenominational Theological Center, Atlanta, GA and was first appointed as Pastor along with his wife at St. Mary’s CME Church, where his daughter Anyah was baptized, and St. Paul’s CME Church, Elberton GA from 2016-2019.

Rev. Archer transferred back to the 5th Episcopal District, his home district within the CME denomination, and served as Youth Pastor at St. James CME Church, Tallahassee, FL under the leadership of Rev. Barbara Campbell during the later half of the 2018-2019 conference year.

In August of 2019 he was welcomed with a loving embrace to serve as Pastor here at St. Mary, where his son Judah was baptized and his wife Rose serves as Local Preacher and Youth Choir Director.

Rev Archer’s church home is St. George’s Anglican Church, Nassau, Bahamas, where his grandmother Brenda Archer serves as Church Organist. His Bahamian hospitality makes him warm and friendly, his theological training makes him a good listener, and his love for God makes him compassionate to the needs of others.
